Days 1–7Day 1 – Arrival in Punta Cana
Arrive at Punta Cana International Airport and collect your rental car. Drive to your selected Punta Cana hotel, check in and take some time to settle into Caribbean life.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a first walk along the beach, explore the surrounding area or have dinner at a local Dominican restaurant.

Day 2 – Beaches of Punta Cana and Bávaro
Spend your first complete day enjoying Punta Cana’s famous coastline. Visit Bávaro Beach, relax beneath the palm trees and swim in the warm turquoise water.
Later, explore El Cortecito, where you will find local shops, casual restaurants and a more independent atmosphere beyond the large resorts. With your rental car, you can choose where to go and how long to stay.

Day 3 – Your Choice of Punta Cana Adventure
Today is yours to design. Enjoy another relaxing beach day or add an optional activity.
Popular choices include:
Catamaran or snorkeling cruise
Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve
Countryside buggy adventure
Zipline or adventure park
Macao Beach
Local food and cultural experience
Alternatively, simply use your car to discover quieter beaches and communities away from the principal resort areas.

Day 4 – Punta Cana to La Romana
After breakfast, check out and drive toward La Romana. The distance is comfortable, so you can travel without rushing and stop along the way if somewhere catches your interest.
After arriving, check in at your selected hotel and begin exploring the area. You may visit La Romana itself or continue to Bayahibe, a charming coastal village known for its beaches, restaurants and relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoy dinner near the water and watch the sun set over the Caribbean.

Day 5 – Bayahibe and Dominicus Beach
Drive to Bayahibe and enjoy a leisurely day beside the sea. Explore the village, relax on the beach or visit nearby Dominicus, known for its clear water and beautiful Caribbean coastline.
Lunch can be enjoyed at one of the local restaurants serving fresh fish, seafood and Dominican specialties. The rest of the afternoon is free for swimming, snorkeling or simply relaxing.
Overnight: La Romana
Day 6 – Saona Island or Altos de Chavón
Choose between a day on the water or a day of culture and exploration.
Take an optional boat excursion from Bayahibe to Saona Island, where tropical beaches and natural pools create one of the Dominican Republic’s most memorable day trips.
Alternatively, drive to Altos de Chavón, a remarkable Mediterranean-style village overlooking the Chavón River. Explore its cobblestone streets, galleries, shops and beautiful viewpoints.
Overnight: La Romana
Day 7 – Return to Punta Cana
Enjoy breakfast and some final free time before checking out of your hotel. Drive back toward Punta Cana International Airport, allowing sufficient time to refuel and return your rental car before your departure flight.
Your journey ends after seven days of beaches, discoveries and the freedom to experience the Dominican Republic your way.
